Chine aux multiples visages : parcourir le Yunnan constitue un véritable voyage. Pour se déplacer en individuel, la possession du Gdr s'avère utile. Certes, ce livre-guide contient les habituelles erreurs de plans, chiffres et descriptions propres à ces éditions. Par contre, je n'ai relevé aucune erreur concernant les transcriptions en langue chinoise très utiles à montrer aux chauffeurs de taxis (courses en ville extrêmement abordables), dans la rue et aux guichets des gares routières. Le bus s'avère le meilleur moyen, utilisé par les Chinois eux-mêmes, pour relier les différentes villes. Les stations de bus longue distance sont souvent bien plus excentrées que dans la région de Shanghai.

La province, montagneuse, offre paysages variés, temples et approche des costumes des minorités ethniques.
Un point que je trouve positif : la pratique du pourboire n'a pas encore été introduite par les tour-opérators dans les restaurants et hôtels.
