Quand le site du Macchu Picchu fut...

Quand le site du Macchu Picchu fut découvert en 1911, le seul bâtiment visible à travers la forêt était le Temple du Soleil. Les Incas ont simplement dressé le temple sur un énorme rocher qui se trouvait là... mais ils se sont assurés que la fenêtre faisait face a l’est, à un angle tel que le premier rayon de soleil sur la cité passe à travers cette fenêtre le matin du 21 juin, jour du solstice d'été !
Le bâtiment est définitivement celui dont la construction a reçu le plus de soin, puisque les joints entre les pierres sont polis à la perfection, contrairement aux habitations alentours.

Table de cérémonie se dresse sous le rocher qui soutient le temple, et là aussi la maçonnerie est incroyable, puisqu'elle suit le contour de la roche !

Le temple du soleil

Excellent

Rien à voir avec celui de Tintin et pourtant, il reste le lieu immanquable de tout le Machu Picchu si vous ne devez en voir qu'un. Le fameux temple du soleil reconnaissable grâce au monde qu'il y aura tout autour mais surtout à son arche en pierre taillée on ne sait trop comment, est situé quasi à l'entrée bien au centre du site.
