Statue Alexis Kivi

Sur la place de la gare se tient la statue d’un homme, posant la tête sur sa main, l’air penseur. C’est la statue d’Alexis Kivi, l’auteur finlandais le plus reconnu et surtout celui qui est considéré comme le père de la littérature finnoise. Kivi a vécu au XIXème siècle mais sa prose et sa poésie ont inspiré bon nombre d’écrivains après lui.
