A votre arrivé au lac Atitlan vous aurez des plusieurs options de randonnée, des promenades et de séjours. Si San Pedro ("sanpedrogas" selon certaines Guatémaltèques!) est pour faire la fête, et Panajachel est le endroit plus touristique et animée, San Marcos est pour faire le yoga! Le village est très calme, et les quelques lieux dédiés aux touristes proposer des séances de yoga, relaxation, sauna. Il y a quelques restaurants, dont un très bon, dans la ruelle principale qui mène au centre de la ville (désolé, j'ai oublié de noter le nom!). L'hôtel lui-même semblait plus cher que San Pedro (Q50 au minimum pour une nuit par personne).

Rappelez-vous, une fois la nuit tombée, ne vous cherchez pas à faire la fête, ce n'est pas l'atmosphère de l'endroit. Allez plutôt pour profiter d'un repas, d'une boisson et d'une nuit sous les arbres et les sons de la forêt! Vous trouverez des belles plages pour une baignade dans le lac, et des lieux de louer des kayaks... En bref, un endroit agréable pour se reposer après de San Pedro ou Pana!
