Situé dans la zone connue comme le Bastion des Pêcheurs, entre le bastion et l'église Matthias, se dresse la statue d'Etienne Ier de Hongrie. C'est un monument en bronze, datant de 1906, représentant Etienne Ier de Hongrie à cheval. Le socle ou piédestal, surmonté par la statue, est une œuvre de Alajos Strobl, basé sur le projet réalisé par Frigyes Schulek, de style néo-roman et représentant des épisodes illustrant la vie du roi.

La Statue de Saint Matthias

Situé juste à côté de l'église a qui elle a prêté son nom, cette statue rend hommage à Saint Matthias, l'autre roi adoré de Budapest avec le roi Saint-Etienne. Il est représenté dans son âge mûr (il a commencé à régner à 15 ans !) la couronne auréolé comme un Saint et sur un cheval, conquérant, son spectre brandi à la main.
